Berlin Lama is about rhythm, sound and repetition. Raw beats meet warped electronics, distorted textures and fragments of melody – music built from small ideas that slowly turn into something bigger.
Rooted in the beat-driven language of earlier Berlin Lama records, the music has become more structured without becoming polished. Grooves shift, patterns collide and sounds are allowed to stay rough around the edges. There is space, weight and movement – sometimes hypnotic, sometimes direct, sometimes slightly off balance.
The beat remains at the centre. But everything around it keeps changing.
Berlin Lama is music for the space between the club, the studio and a live band.
